This week’s writing started me thinking about how one discovery often leads to another. This Spoken Poem is about following that trail… one puzzle piece at a time.
Prefer to read? Here are the words to today’s Spoken Poem.
I never know where the next piece will appear.
It may be waiting beside my morning coffee,
hidden inside a simple question,
or resting within a mistake I almost erased.
Looking back,
Courage finds its place.
Hope follows.
A forgotten dream begins to breathe again.
Curiosity reaches farther,
asking one more question,
searching for one more answer.
Then it happens.
Two scattered pieces find each other.
The picture grows a little larger.
I smile.
Not because I finally understand why I kept looking.
Perhaps rewriting a life was never about
having all the answers.
Maybe that’s what it means to rewrite a life.
Not all at once.
Just one puzzle piece at a time.
If you missed this week’s earlier posts, they helped lead me to this poem: “The Heart Behind Every Creation” and “Funny How Life Works.“
Thank you for spending a few minutes with me today.
